"Do I feel powerful? Do I feel superior?......I feel good!" David Duchovny the one trick pony punts up his lame ass acting ass onto the big screen and provides an adequate presence. Juliette Lewis plays herself, yet again in a superbly cast white trash role. To picture Early, and Grace sitting on a porch of a double wide drinking "the Beast" seems like a perfect image. Early of course is played by Oscar worthy Brad Pitt, in a role I have yet seen his acting equal. Story is pretty basic, serial killer researched and babe, pick up white trash serial killer and white trash girlfriend and head to the great state of California, thus the title. Of course the killer can't sit there and not kill people........
