Believe the Unbelievable

Notes:  This was one of the early "demo" disks that you could show to your friends to impress them with DVD.  It still holds up well.  The video is top notch, anamorphic widescreen.  The sound is a very active Dolby Digital 5.1.  Surrounds are used often and with great effect.  The extras are great but don't stand up to newer "demo" disks such as ID4, MIB, T2 Ultimate Edition.  I would have liked the feature length audio commentary had it been the Wachowski Brothers doing it instead of Carrie-Anne Moss, the editor, and the special effects supervisor.  Still, I can't really complain, it's a great disk.

Strong Sci-Fi movies kick ass. Last year we got Dark City, this year we get Phantom Menace and The Matrix. This movie has it all, cool story, great FX, and a good job from all acting wise. (except a few side characters, Tank played by Marcus Chong sucked ass) That is saying a lot considering Keanu Reeves is a major part of the film.  This film proves that you can be a no talent ass clown (Keanu) and still kick ass in an action flick.  "The Matrix has you..."

This movie, in plain terms, fucking rocked. I cannot remember a movie where I saw it four times in the theater and paid for it. As a matter of fact, the only other time that I have done so (And I repeat I paid), was Army of Darkness. Issue number 1. Carrie Anne Moss (not the greatest actress) but man is she good scenery. I plan to get my girlfriend in that outfit as soon as possible. Issue number 2. Special effects can make a movie. (I.E. Deep Rising) Yes the acting may suck, the main actor may suck (Treat Williams) and yet a full fledged motion picture evolves. Issue number 3. Electronica is by definition - Action movie music. (Don't go against me here, my drunken logic rocks) Issue number 4. This movie Fucking rocks and I don't mind repeating myself, repeating myself, repeating myself, repeating myself, whoa, deja vu.
